Special Occasions

We all absolutely loved the event. The team were so surprised. The actors and the suspects walked in singing a Christmas carol and the team were so confused haha. Really enjoyable experience and will absolutely consider again.

On behalf of DFDS and our guests, I would like to say a big thank to Red Herring‘s Emma and the team of fabulous actors for entertaining us with Felons, Flappers and Foul Play we held t The Ashbourne Hotel 12th May. Many of our guests had no idea what to expect, but from arriving at the hotel bar when the entertainment started, our guests were fully involved and all named as suspects.

This continued until the final decision from each team was taken out of who dunnit! and then the continued discussions of“I told you so!" afterwards.

The flow of the evening was very well set up within each course of food and interaction with the guests throughout created great entertainment. The Ashbourne Hotel supplied great food and a first class service, overall a very successful night and great fun, something to be recommended for an informal night for companies and their customers.

Viv and John came to host the murder mystery at our holiday cottage. They were lovely people and made our event a most memorable evening. There were 19 of us and each one of the family loved taking part in this interactive evening. It was so much fun. We highly recommend them and Red Herring events. Thanks guys! We wanted to entertain and connect our dispersed teams, having done a few quizzes and a magic show. I couldn’t wait to host something for our murder mystery fans but had no idea how we could pull this off online to engage over 150 colleagues.

I can highly recommend @red-herring-games who made it super easy, with a smorgasbord of options; from providing a story so we could host our own, to a fully-fledged professional actor-delivered show. We went mid-way and had six brave colleagues volunteer to play suspects, with @Jo Smedley and an actor playing the Detective and assistant roles.

Keiron did most of the hard work for us, answering every question quickly and with enthusiasm that came across even in the written word. He put comms and suspect packs together- er (including sourcing them a little surprise thank-you gift. Even attended off-duty on the evening to take screenshots of the event for us. Red Herring also helped us identify which story would suit our needs as we wanted a version colleagues could attend with their families, so we removed the murder element and had a musical Abba-themed crime instead! Jo and her team took all of the hassles out of the tech side of making things work, so we just had to show up and let the fun commence! Thank you Jo and Keiron, you made not just the event fun for all of us, but especially for me as an organiser, you made it so easy and such an enjoyable experience.

Our team was looking for a way to get together for an activity this past year, and we found Red Herring Events. They hosted an interactive murder mystery for our team and it was such a great experience! All of the actors were fantastic and kept everyone engaged. The team had a wonderful time, highly recommend!
