We have a “can do” attitude when it comes to bespoke events
We have a team of writers in-house who can research and create a bespoke event just for you.
So if you are looking for a special event to celebrate with family or friends, a corporate evening or a unique event to really showcase your facilities we can help!
Unique plots, unique formats
If you need an event that runs differently, where everyone has a character, one that doesn’t include meal breaks, or that needs a change of format to work without tables and as something more free flowing – then again – we can do it.
We can create what you need, how you need and where you need it. If you want us to include something historic about your venue, add some funny anecdotes from family personalities or work colleagues or generally have a game that’s more tailored to your guests – then we can do it.

What our customers say
Detective Event
We had a fantastic weekend mainly because of the absolutely fabulous murder mystery provided by yourselves on the Saturday. It was absolutely Brilliant! The actors were fantastic and a real hoot. they engaged well with all the guests in a wonderful way and we’ve had brilliant feedback from everyone who came saying what a memorable night it all was. I particularly want to thank Emma who has worked with me in the run up to the event providing suggestions to make the whole evening such a success. I will be using your services again and I am busy recommending you to everyone and everybody I meet. Do pass on special thanks to the actors who made everything so seamless and so much fun.
Virtual Event Booking
We highly recommend the fantastic Red Herring Games UK team including Jo Smedley, Games Designer & Keiron Boswell for helping us plan the event for 20 of us online and David Warren for hosting the event. Thank you for sending us clips.
Detective Event
I thought I was going to dinner to celebrate my friend, who I had not seen in 19 yrs, turning 40. Imagine my surprise when she added this into the mix! Imagine my bigger surprise when I discovered that she, who lives in LA, had contacted Red Herring Games, run by an old school friend back here in the UK! It was only when I saw the back to the script did I realise who had organised everything. It was such fun. A very well-organised and written event, brilliantly delivered by Lydia who really engaged with a room full of people she had never met before. The story played out very well, and with only some getting "whodunnit". Everyone there got into the spirit and roles and with no one knowing who had ’dunnit’ until the very end. I highly recommend Red Herring Games to everyone, for every kind of event.
Interactive Mystery
I just wanted to say a big thank you for the Murder Mystery yesterday. It was a pleasure working with you, feedback from the team about the event has been really fantastic. I m so pleased you used some of our wording/phrases. David did a great job in including them in his script, it felt more personal and created lots of laughs.
I’ll have no hesitation pointing people in your direction who are looking for a fun activity with their team.
Immersive Theatre Event
On behalf of DFDS and our guests, I would like to say a big thank to Red Herring‘s Emma and the team of fabulous actors for entertaining us with Felons, Flappers and Foul Play we held t The Ashbourne Hotel 12th May. Many of our guests had no idea what to expect, but from arriving at the hotel bar when the entertainment started, our guests were fully involved and all named as suspects.
This continued until the final decision from each team was taken out of who dunnit! and then the continued discussions of“I told you so!" afterwards.
The flow of the evening was very well set up within each course of food and interaction with the guests throughout created great entertainment. The Ashbourne Hotel supplied great food and a first class service, overall a very successful night and great fun, something to be recommended for an informal night for companies and their customers.
Detective Event
Thank you again for yesterday, the activity was spot on by being a challenge, encouraged teamwork and was great fun! We’ve had loads of positive feedback from the teams.
All in all it was considered a great afternoon, some even went as far as to say it was the best we’ve organised, and in the past we’ve arranged
activities such as The Apprentice, Dragons Den, physical challenges, treasure hunts and Alton Towers etc. etc. so thank you and well done!,

We travel worldwide
Our games are hosted all over the world and we’ve also travelled to deliver our own brand of unique events in the UK, Egypt, Hawaii, Barcelona…
Where ever you need a murder – we can do it!
The cost?
All of our games are created in-house which means we own the copyright and have the technical skills and expertise to pull them apart and create something new without re-writing everything. This means sometimes we can achieve a bespoke event with very minimal cost. Other times it’s a case of building something entirely from scratch.
As a result our prices do vary considerably from £25 through to £5000. Our best suggestion is to get in touch to explain what you need.
We can chat to you about what you want to do, and we will know quickly if it’s possible to adapt something, or whether we need to build up from scratch.
A short conversation on the phone will often enable us to give you a ball park figure and an idea of what we can do and how long it will take.
