What our customers say
Detective Event
Red Herring Games were super professional from start to finish, They offered me a range of options to choose from when I made the booking and made lots of helpful suggestions about the event itself and what may be best suited based on my location, venue and number of guests. Their correspondence was clear and easy to follow and the team were always available on the phone for last-minute reassurances and checking details.
The cast themselves were prompt, and ’worked’ the room beautifully, really making sure everyone was engaged throughout the evening and the murder mystery dinner theatre.
Professionalism, excellent writing, organised, funny – everything I could have possibly asked for.
Beat the Bomb
Red Herring are brilliant at running these sessions within our workshops. Our participants love them. I highly recommend their services.
Virtual Detective
We made the right call by having you guys as the actors to walk us through the script.
It went really well and I loved it! I have already received feedback from the others that they loved it too.
Thanks to you and to the actors who played the part very well!
Death in space
A fantastic weekend. Met some really nice people in the breakout rooms. The murder mystery was excellent, well thought out, wonderful costumes and make up. It was exciting receiving the physical packs and a challenge to do the puzzles, although we tried, there were some we didn’t get and groaned loudly when "Jeff" showed us how to do them and the answers as the solution was so easy. The milky bar and the space ships were needed and a nice touch.
The food workshop and the cocktail making were a first for us and we thought the food delicious. I think next time I will order one of each cocktail so we could try both.
We were rubbish at the quiz, but really enjoyed participating. Thankfully our daughter Becky helped us with the escape room and we had our best score ever.
The visit to the observatory was very interesting and next time we go to Ireland we will definitely go in search of it to visit.
Well done to everyone who must have worked so hard to put this weekend together. We really enjoyed the challenge and look forward to our next one.
Booked Via Poptop - A Christmas Cruel
We all absolutely loved the event. The team were so surprised. The actors and the suspects walked in singing a Christmas carol and the team were so confused haha. Really enjoyable experience and will absolutely consider again.
Detective Event
We had a fantastic weekend mainly because of the absolutely fabulous murder mystery provided by yourselves on the Saturday. It was absolutely Brilliant! The actors were fantastic and a real hoot. they engaged well with all the guests in a wonderful way and we’ve had brilliant feedback from everyone who came saying what a memorable night it all was. I particularly want to thank Emma who has worked with me in the run up to the event providing suggestions to make the whole evening such a success. I will be using your services again and I am busy recommending you to everyone and everybody I meet. Do pass on special thanks to the actors who made everything so seamless and so much fun.

No idea what is possible?
Here are some examples of things we’ve done in the past:
- Provided a compare for a murder mystery lunch to slot between beauty sessions.
- Changed the images on the game and the title of the game to reflect a new location and setting.
- Altered a murder mystery dinner party from 12 to 25 guests, giving all of the guests a character role and a part to play.
- Altered a murder mystery game to include characters from a hen’s favorite soap and provide a short acted scene for her acting friends to introduce the night.
- Adjusted game materials to include pictures of the girls attending.
- Tailored one of our regular murder mysteries into a Bergerac theme for a stag night, and another to an all girl Clam Bake while keeping in budget.
- Written fully bespoke games to order.
- Obtained props and costumes for an all girl mystery.
