How do these games kits work?

Multi-room events are designed to be run in multiple rooms in a venue and are a great way of showing off your premises, or getting maximum footfall through what would otherwise be too small a venue for a traditional murder mystery evening.

These events have proved very popular with the guests, as it encourages them to interrogate the suspects and locate clues hidden around the building. There are usually seven to eight cast, one murder occurs before the evening and the crime scene is set up in one of the rooms in the venue.

The instructions document (the sample file attached) contains the details of the physical clues you will need to obtain for the evening – these are usually easy to obtain props, and some games have paper clues within them too.

We usually suggest a roving buffet as the guests move between rooms, but some hosts prefer to have a formal two-course meal mid-way through the evening.

For these events guests require a special handout and a pen/pencil to keep track of information presented to them.

The scripts are, in the main, monologues which means they can be learned ahead of the event by the actors. Two actors will share a duologue.

Due to the nature of these events, and the need for each guest to have a hand-out, we will only print one copy of each file when ordered as a printed kit. If you wish further copies of the guest handout – please get in touch so we can find out how many copies you need and provide you with a quote.

Introducing the suspects

Seymour Crooks (Head of Security)
Straight-laced, straight-backed and straight-talking, the security chief of the Perrydice Palace is trustworthy and loyal to both family and work.

Sidney Oprahaus (Co-owner of The Perrydice Palace)
The Australian, well traveled, and somewhat flamboyant silent partner of the Perrydice Palace.

Trikki Shuffles (Head Dealer)
Good with names and faces, this sequin studded beauty is the head dealer at the Perrydice Palace’s casino, and an old flame of Bill D. Way.

Serena Dippedy (Bill’s bride)
One of those fortunate people who always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Today however her luck ran out (or possibly rang true) when her new husband was found dead in the bridal suite just after the nuptial celebrations.

Jay Presto (Magician)
Part of the magical double act that has wowed audiences at the Perrydice Palace for many years. He can pull just about anything out of his top hat – but could he also have pulled off a murder?

Sly Tovand (Magician)
The obsessive compulsive second half of the magical duo. Intensely disturbed by germs and bacteria he regularly kills off several forms of low-life using anti-bacterial wipes everyday.

Lucinda Marbles (Bill’s Crazy Aunt)
Everyone has a slightly quirky relative in their family – unfortunately for Bill, it is his only remaining one.

Private Detective Dick Lacey (Detective)
Private Detective Dick Lacey is the detective sent to solve the case. He provides the solution speech at the end of the evening.

Customise this game

This game can be customised to fit your event for an additional fee.

It’s hard to give “ball park” figures for what different customisations would cost however we’ve attempted to HERE.

Please do contact us for a free quote if you would like any customisations on your game before purchase.

Remember… if you just need 1 extra person, or 1 less person, why not have someone play the inspector role?

The inspector can usually be male or female as the “for real” inspector can simply invent a new name for themselves.

Some hosts prefer to play the inspector role as it means they can work on the catering while the round plays out amongst their guests.
