Kirkcastle, a pretty little village in the North East of England, had its fair share of local eccentrics even before brash American businessman Ronald Thump moved in. Three competitors are ready to present proposals for a local project when one of them is found flattened, the victim of a fatal booby trap. There are plenty of motives for the murder, but can the Kirkcastle killer can be found before there are any more?!

How do these games kits work?
This format of game is ideal for novice hosts.
This particular game format requires 7 (or 8) cast who can also participate as “detectives” to if wished, use of 1 large room with stage area, and a few easy to obtain prop clues.
This mystery requires very little rehearsal time, and the cast do not need to learn any lengthy back story. Cast can usually manage to perform the short skits after just 30 minutes to an hour run through on the day, or can act “script in hand” throughout the performance.
Two murders occurs during the event. Usually one happens before the first script (and is announced within that script, and one occurs mid way through the evening.
Your guests will play the role of detectives. You can have any number of detectives, your only limit is the size of your room, and confidence of your cast. Performing for large groups over 100 in number, your cast may benefit from added sound support.
The audience will watch 2 fully acted scenes, witness two murders and will be required to solve the case by bartering and exchanging clues between the teams in order to see as much information about the case as possible.
This style of murder mystery usually works best with 40+ guests.
Introducing the suspects
Ronald Thump – American businessman and local landowner
Stocky and assertive, Ronald Thump is a great believer in his own importance.
Alana Thump – Ronald’s long-suffering wife
Beautiful, chic and fashionable, Alana would be better suited as a model than the wife of a businessman.
Ivor Wall – Owner of building company
Ivor Wall is tall and strong, but somewhat lacking in charm and intelligence.
Miss Proper – Headteacher
Prim and proper, Miss Proper looks like a caricature of what a head teacher always used to be.
Kitty Friend – Runs a cat refuge in her home
Sentimental, talkative and inclined to be gushing, Kitty is the archetypal ’mad cat lady’.
Phil Banks – Councillor (male or female)
Phil Banks is smart and strong, both in mind and body.
Rev Chris Cross – Vicar (male or female)
Serious and earnest in manner, but a little vague and forgetful, Chris has been vicar of the parish for several years.
D.C.I. Vera Nohope – The inspector sent to solve the crime.

Customise this game
This game can be customised to fit your event for an additional fee.
It’s hard to give “ball park” figures for what different customisations would cost however we’ve attempted to HERE.

Remember… if you just need 1 extra person, or 1 less person, why not have someone play the inspector role?
The inspector can usually be male or female as the “for real” inspector can simply invent a new name for themselves.
Some hosts prefer to play the inspector role as it means they can work on the catering while the round plays out amongst their guests.
