Originally built 1879, Millfields is an exclusive residential hotel, set attractively in its own grounds, close to the commercial and retail centre of town.
Unfortunately, this evening, the normal composure of this very distinctive and fashionable hotel has been disturbed by the discovery of a dead customer in the hotel bar.
The customer turns out to be none other than Ivor Feelin – a renown ghost hunter, but, despite the hotel’s haunted status, he didn’t die of fright – so what did he die of?
Now the hotel staff and regulars are suspects and it’s up to the you to solve the crime!

How do these games kits work?
Multi-room events are designed to be run in multiple rooms in a venue and are a great way of showing off your premises, or getting maximum footfall through what would otherwise be too small a venue for a traditional murder mystery evening.
These events have proved very popular with the guests, as it encourages them to interrogate the suspects and locate clues hidden around the building. There are usually seven to eight cast, one murder occurs before the evening and the crime scene is set up in one of the rooms in the venue.
The instructions document (the sample file attached) contains the details of the physical clues you will need to obtain for the evening – these are usually easy to obtain props, and some games have paper clues within them too.
We usually suggest a roving buffet as the guests move between rooms, but some hosts prefer to have a formal two-course meal mid-way through the evening.
For these events guests require a special handout and a pen/pencil to keep track of information presented to them.
The scripts are, in the main, monologues which means they can be learned ahead of the event by the actors. Two actors will share a duologue.
Due to the nature of these events, and the need for each guest to have a hand-out, we will only print one copy of each file when ordered as a printed kit. If you wish further copies of the guest handout – please get in touch so we can find out how many copies you need and provide you with a quote.
Introducing the suspects
Buck Stopsere (Hotel Manager)
As manager of the hotel, Buck is the first person everyone turns to when things go wrong, and today, things certainly went wrong!
Shona Seat (Conference Room Manager)
Smartly dressed and on the ball, Shona manages the conference room and does the odd stint behind the bar.
Paula Nother (Barmaid)
Paula is a typical blond and busty barmaid with a cheery attitude and a winning smile for all her regular customers
Louise Weight (Fitness Instructor)
With Louise’s fabulous figure and winning smile, it is hardly surprising gym membership is growing in popularity at Millfields.
Jimmy Locks (Used Car Salesman)
With camel hair coat and smart business suit, Jimmy cuts a very fine figure when he pulls up to the hotel in his latest flashy car.
Ben Diggin (Property Developer)
With an extensive portfolio of commercial and private property opportunities, Ben Diggin is the man to know when it comes to the potential of any bricks and mortar investment.
Hugh Ball (Snooker Hustler)
A regular customer of Millfields and a whiz on the snooker tables, Hugh loves to challenge anyone to a game, especially as he usually wins.
Detective Inspector Dick Lacey (Detective)
Detective Inspector Dick Lacey is the detective sent to solve the case. He provides the solution speech at the end of the evening.

Customise this game
This game can be customised to fit your event for an additional fee.
It’s hard to give “ball park” figures for what different customisations would cost however we’ve attempted to HERE.
Please do contact us for a free quote if you would like any customisations on your game before purchase.
Remember… if you just need 1 extra person, or 1 less person, why not have someone play the inspector role?
The inspector can usually be male or female as the “for real” inspector can simply invent a new name for themselves.
Some hosts prefer to play the inspector role as it means they can work on the catering while the round plays out amongst their guests.
