Death on the Campus (includes 3 crime scene workshops)

The University offers an outstanding range of full time, higher education and degree courses. Whether you are deciding on a career route or looking for the right training for your perfect career, this is a great place to start.

Students of the Prosthetics Department have been working hard on their end of term projects. This year all their work is being judged by the famous film director, Derek Terr, who has agreed to return to his home town to review their work and award the prizes.

It is a huge PR coup for the university, but what could have been a triumph turns into a disaster when the visiting celebrity is discovered dead on the campus!

THIS MURDER MYSTERY is designed for educational use and includes 3 forensic themed workshops with lesson plans.

How do these games kits work?

Multi-room events are designed to be run in multiple rooms in a venue and are a great way of showing off your premises, or getting maximum footfall through what would otherwise be too small a venue for a traditional murder mystery evening.

These events have proved very popular with the guests, as it encourages them to interrogate the suspects and locate clues hidden around the building. There are usually seven to eight cast, one murder occurs before the evening and the crime scene is set up in one of the rooms in the venue.

The instructions document (the sample file attached) contains the details of the physical clues you will need to obtain for the evening – these are usually easy to obtain props, and some games have paper clues within them too.

We usually suggest a roving buffet as the guests move between rooms, but some hosts prefer to have a formal two-course meal mid-way through the evening.

For these events guests require a special handout and a pen/pencil to keep track of information presented to them.

The scripts are, in the main, monologues which means they can be learned ahead of the event by the actors. Two actors will share a duologue.

Due to the nature of these events, and the need for each guest to have a hand-out, we will only print one copy of each file when ordered as a printed kit. If you wish further copies of the guest handout – please get in touch so we can find out how many copies you need and provide you with a quote.

Introducing the suspects

Rita Nartical (reporter)

With a nose for scandal and headlines, Rita is a local reporter with an eye on the nationals, waiting for a big scoop to land her a plum assignment.

Dr. Lisa Ning (psychologist)

Warm and empathetic, Lisa Ning is able to put people at their ease. She specializes in criminal psychology.

Len Scap (photographer for the Telegraph)

Used to being in the background and hiding behind his camera, Len has a lot of technical knowledge about exposures and brightness, but isn’t used to being a main feature himself!

Ellie Trick (electrical engineer)

A bright spark with a super-geek knowledge of conductive cabling and the latest in fibre-optic technology, Ellie is always on call for all the university needs.

Ed Panns (guest lecturer)

Caring and compassionate with great bed-side manner, Ed Panns is a qualified first-aider and knows all about medical procedures.

Al Cappucino (café manager)

Larger than life and able to win friends easily with his general bonhomie, Al Cappucino is master of the atrium and not a man to be messed about.

Inspector Ivor Jagg

Whatever happens this evening, the inspector will always get his/her man (or woman).

Customise this game

This game can be customised to fit your event for an additional fee.

It’s hard to give “ball park” figures for what different customisations would cost however we’ve attempted to HERE.

Please do contact us for a free quote if you would like any customisations on your game before purchase.

Remember… if you just need 1 extra person, or 1 less person, why not have someone play the inspector role?

The inspector can usually be male or female as the “for real” inspector can simply invent a new name for themselves.

Some hosts prefer to play the inspector role as it means they can work on the catering while the round plays out amongst their guests.
