The inspector role is essential for the game to work. He/she facilitates the entire evening.
The other characters can be taken from the audience and briefed before game play starts, OR you can select a group to play your suspects in advance of the night and give them time to get fluent in their roles and answers.
The rest of the guests are fully included in the game as they’ll be asking questions throughout the night.

Inspector Buster Maul – The policeman responsible for solving the crime
Efficient in his own peculiar way, Inspector Buster Maul has an unusual method of solving crimes – he involves everyone!
Andy Mann – Local DIY store owner
As stage manager, Andy Mann is scruffily dressed, and a very rough and ready character.
Ada Crimp – Local hairdresser
Selected to play the female lead, Ada Crimp has an abundance of costume jewellery, and is very smartly dressed and heavily coiffured.
Preston Smart – Men’s Tailor
Playing the part of leading man, Preston is immaculately turned out complete with gold cuff links, silk tie and pocket handkerchief.
Kitty Cuddler – Owner of the local cattery
Fond of cat suits and positively feline make-up, Kitty Cuddler brings a cat-like manner to her role as second leading lady.
Rich Pickens – Stockbroker
Preferring the smart casual look, Rich Pickens is fond of cravats, sports jackets and suede shoes. He sports a handlebar moustache but is otherwise clean shaven.
Roberta Legge – Retired Ballet Dancer and Lady Chairperson
Dressed in very dated governess type clothing, and never without her walking stick, Roberta Legge is striking in strong make up and she keeps her hair well under control.

Beau Kaye – Florist and assistant stage manager
Slight of build and quietly spoken, Beau Kaye tends to dress a little too flamboyantly in order to get noticed.
Dee Zyner – Boutique Owner and wardrobe mistress
Of Eastern European origin Dee Zyner has a strong accent and dresses in clothes more fitting for someone half her age.

Although smartly dressed, Bill’s bearing and manner suggest a slight lack of confidence.
Sally Forth – Lollypop Lady and programme seller
Even out of her lollypop uniform, Sally still seems very flat footed, and dowdy and rarely wears any make up.

Willy Stackem – Unemployed Bricklayer
The society’s Gopher or dogsbody Willy is a very rough and ready character, with torn jeans and check shirt to go with his favourite baseball cap.
Anita Body – Beautician and make-up mistress
With a very modern approach to beauty, Anita sports both tattoos and piercings, black eyeliner and black lipstick, and prefers to wear leathers and high heeled boots.
