Despite the hitches, Ali Weals, owner of the hotel, planned to open the extension doors for the first time this evening to her guests.
Wanting to host an opening night to remember – Ali’s wishes are fulfilled in ways she hadn’t imagined when the evening is disrupted by a bloody murder enquiry.
Rex Carze (son of Rusty Carze)
Rich, playboy show-off, Rex oozes natural charm and is very popular amongst his peers.
Robin Carze (son of Rusty Carze)
Responsible and dependable, Robin Carze is a model local landowner who invests heavily in the community.
(ROBIN AND REX ARE OFTEN PLAYED BY THE SAME PERSON)
Astra Carze (wife of Robin Carze)
Refined and agreeable on the eye, Astra Carze is fully versed in social etiquette. Other than her work on the church fundraising committee she is quite the ‘lady of leisure’.
Ali Weals (hotel owner)
The life and soul of the village, she is full of fun and good cheer. Ali is keen to make the most of her opening night and wants to wow her guests.
Jack Tupp (mechanic)
Hardly ever out of overalls, you are quite a charmer and very much a ‘downtown man’ looking for an ‘uptown girl’.
Joy Ryder (local kennel owner)
Part of the horsey set and dressing very much in the country casual style, Joy has land and position and is very well connected.
If you’re looking for a murder mystery evening which supplies entertaining sleuthing while you dine, then our Dinner Theatre style murder mystery evenings are just what you are looking for.
Each mystery is designed to be run in one room within a hotel/restaurant setting during a three course meal.
There are five suspects (our cast). One murder occurs before the event (the discovery of the body usually begins the evening) and one murder occurs mid-way through the evening.
These mysteries are written as interactive dinner theatre with a series of scripts as well as interactive questioning by the guests. They are fun, melodramatic and engrossing.
Sadly they are usually not usually appropriate for young children due to the number of deaths involved!
Sample running order:
|7.00pm||On arrival, guests are greeted in character by the cast.|
|7.35pm||Round One script – The murder is announced.|
|7.45pm||First course is served.|
|7.50pm||Round Two script – The suspects are identified.|
|8.10pm||Plates are cleared from first course|
|8.20pm||Round Three script – The plot thickens.|
|8.30pm||Main course is served and the actors mingle with the guests giving them the opportunity to ask questions.|
