Bubba “The Duke” Bogg, the most wealthy and influential man in town, has been asked to judge The Cooking Club’s annual cook off competition in Hazzards, Arkansas.
As the members arrive at the home of their Club President, the Sheriff comes to inform them that Bubba has just been found dead and under some mighty mysterious circumstances at that…
It seems someone has cooked something up, and it’s not just a plate of fried chicken!
Essential Cast
Sherriff Taylor – Police detective.
Efficient in his own peculiar way, Sherriff Taylor has an unusual method of solving crimes – he involves everyone!
Big Bertha Bogg - The bawdy, bodacious and buxom wife of Bubba “The Duke” Bogg. Always seen wearing expensive clothing and jewellery, Bertha probably carries more clout (and cash) than any other woman in Hazzards.
Bobbi Pynn - Bobbi is a gum chewing, friendly woman who runs a Beauty Salon out of her trailer in Hazzards. With up done hair, she is never seen without her blue eye shadow and red lipstick.
Cher Mee - Cher Mee is a lovely, French Cajun lady who waitresses at the Bogg Diner and is never seen without a deck of cards. Sometimes her clothing seems a little risqué to the women of Hazzards, but they accept it because she’s “French”.
Bella DeBall - A faded spinster and Southern Belle who lives at the edge of Hazzards. She is never seen outside of her home without full makeup, wearing a dress, holding her parasol, with her trademark fake rose in her hair.
Daisy Mae - A freckled faced farm girl who is perpetually 16 and wears her hair in pigtails, while donning her cut off jeans and plaid shirt.
Barrie Foote -Married when she was 15, Barrie sells her jellies and jams at Bogg’s grocery store. She wears her clothes a little tight and her hair a little big, but she is fun loving and never knows a stranger .
Optional Cast - The indecisive and nearsighted fraternal twin sister of Dixie Treet, she has lived in Hazzards all of her life. Always seen wearing pink, and wearing her glasses, she is known by everyone.
Dixie Treet - The confident and seemingly bossy fraternal twin sister of Trixie Treet, she has lived in Hazzards all of her life. Always seen wearing pink, as does Trixie, she is definitely the more outgoing twin.
Penny Colada - A migrant Latino farm worker, Penny is a dark Latino beauty, hot blooded, and warm-hearted. She always prefers to wear bright colours with peasant skirts and tops being her favourite along with large hoop earrings.
Rusty Nale - A female carpenter, Rusty is always seen wearing her jeans and always has a hammer in her hand.
Mary Lamb - A gospel preaching woman, Mary is always seen with her hair in a bun, a jean skirt and Bible in hand.
Bea Hife - Post Mistress, spinster and busy body of the town, Bea always dons something blue and is never seen without her glasses. Her hair is always up and her attitude is always down.
Never run a large group mystery before? Then don't panic! Hosting a Large Group Murder Mystery is time consuming, but with ample preparation and a good cast it is really quite simple and great fun! In large group games it is impossible to give everyone a part, instead the mystery involves “cast members” who are fully in the know and act out the mystery, and the guests act as detectives trying to solve the murder. Large group games come in several different formats, clue based, cast based, multi-room, single room, or a mixture of them all. This particular game requires 7-13 cast, and one large room. It also has an option of a series of paper clues. Guests will also need paper and pens. This game works best as a sit down event with 6-12 tables of guests who work as a team, but the game can be adapted to suit most formats of events. The game contains two options.
Option 1: All clues are provided by cast members.
Option 2: Guests receive questions to ask the suspects (cast members) on paper, and have to find out the answers to these questions from the cast. To find out more information about Character Based single room games click here Character based mystery games for large groups.
