It is a dynamic age. Motor cars, movies, radio and all manner of modern appliances and inventions are hitting the streets and amongst it all, the flappers are parading their redefinition of womanhood, with bobbed hair, ever shortening skirts and a release from the traditional corsets.

In America, Prohibition is still in full swing and while it makes alcohol a difficult commodity to attain, it certainly isn’t impossible.

Mickey Scapone is boss of one of the largest gangs responsible for importing the contraband. He owns Swingers, arguably the most popular speakeasy in all Chicago. From bodyguards to sassy jazz singers, alcohol to fine dining, this hip club has everything.

And tonight – it even has a murder. Mickey Scapone, the big boss himself, is dead.

The only problem is – who killed him?

• Tony Tortellini (Mickey Scapone’s Lieutenant)
  With sleek hair and pencil moustache, Tony may look respectable in his tux, but he is never without his side-arm, leg-arm, rear-waistband-arm, up-the-sleeve-arm…



• Bonnie Enclyde (Singer, dancer and Mickey’s moll)
  A femme fatal with a fascinator in her hair and a very fancy frock, Bonnie is Mickey’s moll and everybody knows it.



• Robin Folks (Mickey Scapone’s accountant)
  Well dressed and with a head for numbers, Robin has a pencil moustache, slicked hair and a cold calculating eye.



• Harvey Wallbanger (Barman)
  With quick wrist action, witty patter and a natural flair for cocktails, Harvey Wallbanger is the barman at Swingers, and a natural confidante for many of the clientele.



• Bunny Hugg (The newest singer at the club))
  With short bobbed hair and an equally short dress, Bunny just loves jazz, and her tassels are guaranteed to swing with her thing.



• Sly Shyster (Senator)
  A democrat of ambition and drive, Sly is a man who knows how to press flesh and win votes.



• Candy Stealer (Sly Shyster’s fiancée)
  Smart, sophisticated and incredibly attractive, Candy Stealer knows just how to get what she wants.



• Elliot Mess (Mafia Stooge)
  Elliot Mess is required only to provide the solution speech. He does no other acting during the night and is not referred to in the scripts or guest handouts.

Never run a large group mystery before? Then don't panic!

Hosting a Large Group Murder Mystery is time consuming, but with ample preparation and a good cast it is really quite simple and great fun!

In large group games it is impossible to give everyone a part, instead the mystery involves “cast members” who are fully in the know and act out the mystery, and the guests act as detectives trying to solve the murder.

Large group games come in several different formats, clue based, cast based, multi-room, single room, or a mixture of them all.

This particular game requires 8 cast (who are fully in the know), use of 6 small rooms, and some prop clues. The murder occurs before the guests arrive and one of the rooms they will visit will be the crime scene.

Your guests play the role of detectives. You can have any number of detectives for this mystery, your only limit is the size of your rooms, and the time you have available.
